Law360, New York (February 04, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Ciena Corp. has reached a $7.7 million settlement with Northrop Grumman Guidance and Electronics Co. to resolve a dispute over an optical fiber amplifier patent, less than two weeks after Ciena and its fellow defendants asked the court to stay the case while the patent-in-suit was re-examined.
According to the agreement signed by Ciena and Northrop on Jan. 31 Ciena's one-time $7.7 million payment will settle all claims between the parties, Ciena disclosed in a regulatory filing on Friday.
