Daimler Vows Fight After France Doubles Down On Car Ban

Law360, New York (July 26, 2013, 2:17 PM EDT) -- Daimler AG immediately vowed renewed legal action Friday after France said it would continue to block registrations of certain Mercedes that use a banned type of air-conditioning refrigerant.

The back and forth came one day after a French court overturned a previous registration freeze on the cars, which France claims are flouting a European Union ban on the refrigerant R134a that went into effect in January. On challenge from Daimler, the court found procedural flaws in the French rule.
