Apple Wins ITC Ban On Some Samsung Smartphones

Law360, New York (August 9, 2013, 10:17 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission on Friday banned imports of some Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. smartphones that it found had infringed two Apple Inc. patents, but Samsung said it had redesigned the products so they no longer infringe.

The ITC ruled that Samsung infringed one patent for touch-screen technology and a second that covers a headset plug. An ITC judge ruled last year that Samsung had also infringed two other patents, including one covering the design of the iPhone, but the ITC reversed those findings. ...
