3 UK Firms Hit With More Than 140 Layoffs

Law360, New York (July 30, 2013, 6:49 PM ET) -- Another wave of layoffs hit the United Kingdom legal market this week as three firms announced that more than 140 jobs, most of them support staff, would be cut.

International U.K. firm Hill Dickinson LLP said Tuesday that a lengthy review of practices and business infrastructure begun in the spring has resulted in 83 job cuts, including 14 partners and 69 employees. Forty-four people left voluntarily, the firm said.
