EMD Millipore To Pay $2.7M For Alleged Pesticide Violations

Law360, Los Angeles (July 31, 2013, 6:09 PM EDT) -- Billerica, Mass.-based EMD Millipore Corp. has agreed to pay $2.7 million in civil penalties to settle allegations from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency that it violated the federal pesticide law and regulations on numerous instances over many years, the EPA announced Wednesday.

The EPA alleged that EMD Millipore violated the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act on several occasions since 2008 by producing, importing, distributing and selling pesticidal devices in violation of federal pesticide requirements.
