Daily Mail Parent Co. Ducks Lawyer's Calif. Privacy Suit

Law360, Chicago (August 1, 2013, 2:42 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Wednesday tossed a lawyer's claims against the Daily Mail publisher's parent company in a suit alleging the tabloid illegally gathered his personal information and engaged in a smear campaign, saying the plaintiff failed to show that the U.K.-based parent has any California contacts.
