Fed. Circ. Says It Doesn't Endorse Patent Claim Model Orders

Law360, New York (August 02, 2013, 8:34 PM ET) -- The Federal Circuit has removed from its website two model orders — one of which its advisory council posted just last month — that called for limits on e-discovery and asserted patent claims in litigation, replacing them with a note saying they are not endorsed by the court.

The latest model order proposing ways to restrict the number of claims and prior art references asserted by litigants was posted on the court's website last month, joining a 2011 order aimed at limiting discovery.
