Nanya, Elpida Reach Settlement In Semiconductor IP Row

Law360, New York (August 2, 2013, 5:25 PM EDT) -- Elpida Memory Inc. on Wednesday asked the U.S. International Trade Commission to renounce its investigation into claims that Nanya Technology Corp.'s imported semiconductors infringed several Elpida patents, saying the companies had reached a settlement.

The patent holder asked the ITC to drop its inquiry just a month after the commission announced it would be reviewing one of its judge's findings that Nanya's products violated several of Tokyo-based Elpida's patents for dynamic random access memory, or DRAM, technology.
