Bulldozer Victim's $20M Jury Award Wiped By Philly Judge

Law360, Philadelphia (August 5, 2013, 3:38 PM EDT) -- A Pennsylvania state judge in a Monday bench ruling overturned a $20 million jury verdict awarded to a man who lost a leg after it was run over by the 10-year-old son of a landscape company owner who was allowed to operate a bulldozer.

Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Judge John Younge ruled that Judge Gary DeVito’s pretrial summary judgment against landscaper Steven Senn and bulldozer provider Modern Equipment Sales and Rental Co. was improvidently granted, according to multiple attorneys.
