CMS Revises National Payment Policy For Drugs, Devices

Law360, New York (August 6, 2013, 5:38 PM EDT) -- The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services on Tuesday overhauled its approach to so-called national coverage determinations that describe whether it will automatically pay for certain drugs, devices and surgeries, saying it will create an expedited process for scrapping guaranteed reimbursement for obsolete items and services.
