IT Co. Execs Shake Investor Suit Over $5B UK Contract

Law360, Los Angeles (August 7, 2013, 4:07 PM EDT) -- A Virginia federal judge on Tuesday tossed a shareholder derivative suit accusing Computer Sciences Corp. executives of deceiving investors in relation to a $5.4 billion contract with the U.K.'s health care system, finding the plaintiff failed to state a claim.

Shirley Morefield brought the suit against CSC's board of directors alleging breach of fiduciary duty on the grounds of deception and mismanagement in connection with the company's public statements related to the major contract.
