Fla. AG Freed From Testifying In $300M Gambling Case

Law360, Miami (August 7, 2013, 8:32 PM EDT) -- A Florida state judge on Tuesday denied a bid to question Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi in connection with her prosecution of an alleged $300 million illegal gambling center conspiracy that prompted the resignation of the lieutenant governor earlier this year.

Judge Kenneth R. Lester Jr. quashed a subpoena issued by former Allied Veterans of the World national commander Johnny Duncan, Linda Duncan, Scott Pruitt and Moses Ramos, who are accused of running the gambling operation within the purported charitable organization.
