3rd Circ. Won't Review Widow's Black Lung Benefits Award

Law360, New York (August 8, 2013, 6:37 PM ET) -- In a precedential decision, the Third Circuit ruled Thursday that the Affordable Care Act allows for a coal miner’s widow, whose first claim for survivor benefits under the Black Lung Benefits Act was denied pre-ACA could recover benefits when she filed a subsequent claim.
