Female Attys Must Strategize To Get Ahead, ABA Panel Says

Law360, New York (August 9, 2013, 4:12 PM EDT) -- To get ahead, female attorneys must make themselves indispensable, be strategic when choosing to take flex time or family leave, and respond quickly when colleagues reach out, a panel of female corporate general counsel said Friday at the American Bar Association Expo in San Francisco.

Women don't necessarily need to work nonstop — unless they're helping GCs negotiate a merger or buyout — but they do need to choose a path that lends itself to the amount of time they want to work, the panelists said...
