Pa. Town Sues Neighboring Town Over Permits In Landfill Tiff

Law360, Philadelphia (August 12, 2013, 2:46 PM EDT) -- A Pennsylvania municipality on Friday appealed the state’s Department of Environmental Protection decision to approve a neighboring township’s stream relocation plan, calling the proposal an inappropriate effort to move the creek to allow for the development of a controversial landfill.

The borough of St. Clair said in a filing with the state’s Environmental Hearing Board that Blythe Township’s plans for the Little Wolf Creek are inappropriate and that the creek should be restored to an open channel.
