IBM Engineer Takes Aim At Law Firms In Patent Suit

Law360, New York (February 7, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Adding to his long string of lawsuits alleging infringement of his patented computer technology, a former IBM Corp. engineer is targeting a group of lawyers who struck a $630 million class action deal with Compaq Computer Corp. and Hewlett-Packard Co. in December.

The engineer claims the lawyers formed the substance of their case by improperly using his programs to expose a serious computer defect.
