LA Officials Accused Of Conducting 'Retaliatory' Audits

Law360, New York (August 13, 2013, 2:27 PM EDT) -- The AIDS Healthcare Foundation launched a lawsuit in California state court Monday alleging Los Angeles County officials conspired to intimidate health care providers that disagree with them on public policy by filing incorrect audit reports.

The group accuses Los Angeles County, the director of the county's Department of Public Health, the director of its HIV and STD programs, and a county supervisor of targeting it because it has publicly disagreed with them on policy issues.
