Akin Gump Adds Atty From SG's Office To Appellate Group

Law360, New York (August 13, 2013, 5:12 PM EDT) -- An assistant to the U.S. solicitor general who has argued 13 times before the U.S. Supreme Court is leaving the government to co-head Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP's Supreme Court practice, the firm announced Tuesday.

Pratik A. Shah has spent more than five years at the Solicitor's General Office, where he argued cases before the high court and penned 10 merits briefs in major cases, including the briefs in both the same-sex marriage cases of last term, Hollingsworth v. Perry and U.S. v. Windsor....
