BP Refinery Probed Over Latest Texas City Accident

Law360, New York (February 7, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. Chemical Safety Board announced on Thursday that it is opening a new investigation into BP Plc after an explosion in its Texas City, Texas, refinery killed a worker last month in the latest of a string of fatal accidents at the refinery.

William Wark, a member of the CSB, said that BP employee Joseph Gracia was killed when the top of a steel filter housing suddenly blew off on Jan. 18.
