Sens. Want Regulation Info On Bitcoins, Virtual Currencies

Law360, New York (August 13, 2013, 7:47 PM EDT) -- Virtual currencies including bitcoins have a strong potential for legitimate mainstream use but their “anonymous and decentralized nature” also makes them a prime tool in the criminal arsenal, senators told the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as they sought more detail Monday on how they are currently regulated.
