A Win For The SEC On Conflict Mineral Rules

Law360, New York (August 16, 2013, 9:36 AM ET) -- On July 23, 2013, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia entered summary judgment in favor of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in connection with a challenge by the National Association of Manufacturers, The Business Roundtable and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce (collectively, NAM) to the rules adopted in August 2012 by the SEC that implement the disclosure and reporting of the use of “conflict minerals.”
