Toyo Files ITC Complaint Over Tire Design Patents

Law360, New York (August 15, 2013, 2:46 PM ET) -- Toyo Tire Holdings of America Inc. on Wednesday filed a complaint in the U.S. International Trade Commission alleging manufacturers in China and Thailand are infringing patents covering the design of Toyo-brand tires.

Toyo claims numerous foreign manufactures and their distributors are violating U.S. trade law by importing various tires that infringe eight of its design patents. The complaint targets 22 manufacturers, importers and sellers of allegedly infringing passenger and light truck tires.
