Fluor Gets Nod To Begin Building $1.3B Dominion Gas Plant

Law360, New York (August 15, 2013, 12:54 PM EDT) -- Fluor Corp. has gotten full approvals from Dominion Resources Inc. to begin construction on the Virginia energy company's planned $1.3 billion natural gas power station, the company said Wednesday.

As builder for the 1,358 megawatt project, Fluor is on an $800 million engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning contract, according to a statement. Fluor was first tagged for the project in August 2012 and has been working on pre-construction services from its North Carolina offices in the meantime, according to company documents.
