Deals Rumor Mill: TPG, Goldman Sachs, Carlos Slim

Law360, New York (August 16, 2013, 4:48 PM ET) -- Eight prospective buyers have come forward with offers for the sought-after Hong Kong supermarket chain ParknShop, which analysts have said could be worth as much as $4 billion, according to a Friday report from The Wall Street Journal. Among the bidders for Hutchison Whampoa Ltd.'s grocery unit are Texas-based TPG Capital, as well as regional retailers China Resources Enterprise Ltd. and Aeon Co. Ltd.
