Amazon Latest To Be Sued Over Online News Data Patent

Law360, New York (August 16, 2013, 6:47 PM ET) -- Amazon.com Inc. on Friday became the latest company targeted by Texas-based Online News Link LLC, which claims the online retailer has infringed three of its data processing and distribution patents.

In a seven-page complaint, Online News Link, which has a history of suing major media and technology companies, claims Amazon violated its patents by “using, offering for sale, and/or selling claimed information distribution and processing systems.”
