Smithfield Unit Reaches $6M Don, Doff Deal With Meat Workers

Law360, Los Angeles (August 16, 2013, 10:39 PM ET) -- A unit of Smithfield Foods Inc. asked a Missouri federal judge on Friday to approve a $5.8 million settlement with a class of workers who alleged the company violated state and federal labor laws by failing to pay them for time spent changing into and out of their uniforms.
