4th Circ. Finds Co-Owner Of Furniture Co. Liable In IP Suit

Law360, Los Angeles (August 20, 2013, 9:23 PM ET) -- The Fourth Circuit ruled Tuesday that the co-owner of a knock-off furniture company could be held personally liable in Universal Furniture International Inc.'s copyright infringement suit because he knew or should have known about the alleged activity and did not act to stop it.
