Contractor To Blame For Fatal Black Elk Rig Blast: Report

Law360, New York (August 21, 2013, 7:21 PM EDT) -- A third-party report commissioned by Black Elk Energy LLC and released Wednesday suggested that last November's deadly explosion at an oil platform in the Gulf of Mexico was the result of contract workers' failure to follow the company's standard safety protocols.
