9th Circ. Tosses Arizona's Anti-Abortion Appeal

Law360, New York (August 22, 2013, 5:03 PM EDT) -- The Ninth Circuit on Thursday dealt another blow to an Arizona law that would deny Medicaid funds to health care providers who perform elective abortions, affirming a lower court ruling that the state had wrongly hinged its exclusion on an ambiguous definition of a “qualified” provider.
