Iovate Supplements Don't Build Muscle As Advertised: Suit

Law360, New York (August 23, 2013, 6:37 PM ET) -- Iovate Health Sciences Inc. was hit on Thursday with class claims in California federal court that it falsely peddled a line of dietary supplements as helpful in building muscle size.

Iovate bases its claims on the assumption that the body's naturally-occurring amino acid L-Arginine, known to play a role in increasing blood flow to muscles during exercise, can be supplemented orally to the same effect.
