NY Bill Would Allow State To Issue $5B In Enviro Project Debt

Law360, New York (August 23, 2013, 2:10 PM ET) -- Buffalo Republican Sen. Mark Grisanti on Wednesday introduced a bill that would allow New York state to issue $5 billion in new debt to address environmental concerns, including enhancing infrastructure to combat air pollution and global warming, beginning in 2015.

If passed, signed and approved by voters in November 2014, the bill would allow the state to spend $2 billion on clean water supply, flood control and related efforts, $2 billion on clean water infrastructure and $1 billion on improving air quality and on pollution prevention....
