ITC Probes Clorox Claims Of Infringing Mexican Imports

Law360, New York (August 26, 2013, 1:20 PM ET) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission on Friday launched an investigation into allegations from The Clorox Co. that a Mexican competitor is infringing on its trademarks for Clorox and Pine-Sol cleaners by shipping products with similar names to the U.S.

The probe will center on Clorox's claims that Industrias Alen SA de CV cleaning products Cloralex and Pinol are using similar names and packaging to steal away customers who might otherwise be purchasing Clorox- and Pine-Sol-brand household cleaners.
