8th Circ. Revives Age Bias Suit Against Securitas

Law360, New York (August 27, 2013, 7:25 PM EDT) -- The Eighth Circuit on Monday reinstated a 76 year-old's age discrimination suit over his termination from Securitas Security Services USA Inc., finding that he had presented enough evidence to raise questions about whether the company's reasons for firing him were pretextual. 

In a 2-1 ruling, the appeals court reversed a Missouri federal judge's decision to grant summary judgment to Securitas, saying that former security guard Carlyn Johnson had put forward enough evidence to raise genuine doubt as to the legitimacy of Securitas' motive for axing him...
