Credit Suisse Confirms Subprime Subpoenas

Law360, New York (February 12, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Credit Suisse Group Inc. has become the most recent Wall Street firm to find itself in the crosshairs of federal regulators, disclosing in a filing that it was subpoenaed in connection with its subprime mortgage exposure.

In a Tuesday filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Credit Suisse said that regulators had asked the bank for information related to the “origination, purchase, securitization and servicing of subprime and non-subprime residential mortgages and related issues.”
