Army Corps Awards Solar Contracts In $7B Renewables Push

Law360, Los Angeles (August 28, 2013, 7:16 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced Wednesday that it will award contracts to solar energy contractors as part of an ongoing $7 billion plan to boost the Army's use of renewable energy.

The Multiple Award Task Order Contracts — allotted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Engineering and Support Center in Huntsville, Ala., along with the Army Energy Initiatives Task Force — are going to 22 qualified solar technology contractors, according to the Army.
