Chinese Subsidies Boosted Solar Cos., EU Finds

Law360, New York (August 28, 2013, 3:54 PM EDT) -- The European Union has found in an investigation that Chinese solar panel makers benefited from government subsidies, the trade association that requested the probe said Wednesday.

Following nine months of investigation, the European Commission determined that China-based solar panel makers received subsidies that amount to 11.5 percent of their revenue, according to EU ProSun, an industry group that filed a complaint in September alleging that Chinese solar companies were boosted by unfair government support.
