Scrushy Vows To Fight For Back Pay, Benefits

Law360, New York (December 6, 2005, 12:00 AM EST) -- Fresh from having federal fraud charges against him dismissed, former HealthSouth Corp. chief executive Richard M. Scrushy resigned from the board Monday but vowed to keep up the legal fight to recover millions of dollars in back pay and benefits.

Scrushy remains one of the company's biggest individual shareholders, but holds no sway over the company’s management after he was fired amid an accounting scandal nearly three years ago.
