Obama Taps Morell, Clarke For Surveillance Review Group

Law360, New York (August 28, 2013, 6:05 PM EDT) -- The White House on Tuesday named the members of a group chosen to review the government’s surveillance efforts, calling on several faces familiar to the Obama administration including former CIA acting head Michael Morell and former senior White House adviser Richard Clarke.

According to a White House statement, the Review Group on Intelligence and Communications Technology is also composed of Obama’s former “regulatory czar” Cass Sunstein, former President Bill Clinton’s chief privacy counselor Peter Swire and University of Chicago law professor Geoffrey Stone.
