Toy Co. Tries To Pin Down WWE Over Belt Outsourcing

Law360, New York (August 29, 2013, 5:08 PM ET) -- A toy company that makes replica championship belts for World Wrestling Entertainment Inc. sued the company in Connecticut federal court Wednesday for trying to back out of their agreement and purchase the products directly from its Chinese manufacturer instead.

Florida-based Figures Toy Co., who for the past 12 years has manufactured licensed championship belts for WWE, seeks a ruling that the companies' consumer products license agreement is still valid, and that Figures Toy has not infringed WWE's intellectual property rights by continuing to sell the belts...
