Dow Agrees To EPA Deal Over Colo. Superfund Site

Law360, New York (August 30, 2013, 2:02 PM EDT) -- The Dow Chemical Co. on Thursday agreed to pay the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for costs related to the cleanup of the Twins Inn Superfund site in Colorado and complete some other projects in the area, such as bringing alternative water supplies to residents.

In a complaint filed in Colorado federal district court, the EPA alleged it spent about $1.6 million on remediation efforts at the Arvada, Colo., site, where Thoro Products Co. once manufactured laundry spot removal, janitorial supplies and cleaning products. The company also...
