Pa. Rep. Seeks To Repeal Contested Pro-Fracking Zoning Law

Law360, Philadelphia (August 30, 2013, 3:53 PM ET) -- A Pennsylvania state representative announced on Thursday that she intends to introduce legislation eliminating the controversial prohibitions on local regulation of fracking that are currently embroiled in a constitutional challenge in front of the state's high court.

State Rep. Karen Boback, R-Columbia/Luzerne/Wyoming, said that her proposed bill would restore to local governments the ability to pass zoning laws that ban natural gas drilling.
