Developer Wants In On Philly Casino License Challenge

Law360, Philadelphia (August 30, 2013, 5:49 PM ET) -- One of the six developers vying to build a new casino in Philadelphia has asked the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court for leave to intervene in a suit challenging the state's authority to reissue a gaming license that was revoked after a previously approved project stalled.

Tower Entertainment LLC, citing a significant financial interest stemming from its proposal for a $700 million casino at the iconic former headquarters of the Philadelphia Inquirer, said it should be allowed to intervene in the suit.
