SGI Wins On Validity But Drops Patent Claims

Law360, New York (February 12, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A Wisconsin jury has rejected Advanced Micro Devices Inc.'s argument that a patent asserted by Silicon Graphics Inc. in a case over graphics processors is invalid, after a summary judgment ruling went largely in the defendants' favor and SGI subsequently moved to voluntarily dismiss its remaining infringement claims.
