Citigroup To Sell PE Fund To Rohatyn Group In $7.2B Deal

Law360, New York (September 3, 2013, 1:31 PM EDT) -- Citi Venture Capital International will combine with independent investment firm The Rohatyn Group to create a $7.2 billion asset management company, according to a joint announcement Tuesday.

The new firm, which will operate as TRG, will manage more than $6 billion in private equity and about $1.2 billion in liquid market strategies from 18 offices worldwide. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, and the companies expect the deal to close during the fourth quarter of 2013.
