Buccaneer, Apache Strike Deal On 4 Alaskan Oil Leases

Law360, New York (September 3, 2013, 1:04 PM EDT) -- Australia-based Buccaneer Energy Ltd. has scooped up four Alaskan oil and gas leases from Apache Alaska Corp., landing it over 14,000 potentially oil- and gas-rich acres in Alaska's Cook Inlet, Buccaneer said Monday.

The companies inked binding agreements that give Buccaneer a 100 percent working interest in 14,353 acres that adjoin its existing Cosmopolitan development project in Cook Inlet. Financial terms of the deal are confidential, Buccaneer said Monday.
