Texas Jury Convicts Oil Co. Exec Of Defrauding Investors

Law360, Los Angeles (September 04, 2013, 4:14 PM ET) -- A Texas federal jury on Wednesday convicted the chairman of an oil and gas well promotions company over an alleged scheme in which he duped investors into funding a $3.5 million drilling project, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Texas said.

Kentucky resident David Kevin Lewis, 52, was convicted on one count of conspiracy to commit securities fraud and 23 counts of securities fraud for diverting investors' money for his own personal use and to pay for Always Consulting Inc.'s other drilling programs....
