Fiat Blasts Union's Plan For 2015 Chrysler Share Trial

Law360, Wilmington (September 5, 2013, 7:57 PM EDT) -- Fiat SpA urged a Delaware Chancery judge Thursday to set a May trial to determine the purchase price for a block of Chrysler Group LLC shares, saying the scheduling proposal by UAW retirees seeking to head to court in January 2015 would cause unreasonable delay.

Fiat and the UAW Retiree Medical Benefits Trust are at loggerheads over what the Italian automaker must pay the union for a 3.3 percent stake in Chrysler, a dispute that started with the sides more than $200 million apart.
