Drivers Lodge Class Action Over Tip-Taking At Lyft

Law360, Los Angeles (September 5, 2013, 10:31 PM EDT) -- A former driver for Lyft Inc. alleged the company violated California labor laws when it misclassified full-time drivers as independent contractors, took some of their tips, and refused to reimburse them for mileage, according to a $6.5 million putative class action filed Tuesday.
