Scruggs Seeks Judge's Recusal In Contempt Case

Law360, New York (February 13, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Famed attorney Richard “Dickie” Scruggs has asked a federal appellate court to force a district court judge to disqualify himself from hearing a civil contempt motion against him. Scruggs has been dogged by ethics allegations after representing Hurricane Katrina victims in a suit against major insurers.
