Fed. Circ. Revives Comaper Computer Cooling Patent

Law360, New York (September 06, 2013, 3:40 PM ET) -- The Federal Circuit on Friday revived a Comaper Corp. patent related to a computer cooling system that the company asserted in long-running litigation against computer parts manufacturer Antec Inc.

The decision resurrects a 2011 jury verdict against Antec that U.S. District Judge Petrese B. Tucker nixed after the trial by ruling that Comaper's patent was anticipated. The Federal Circuit faulted the lower court's analysis comparing prior art references presented at the trial and the claimed invention in Compaper's patent.
